I don't think I navigated that path flawlessly the other 5 or 6 times you have to do it. I was also happy that I was able to get back to where the empress was at without getting hit. I saved it because I thought I'd go ahead and do a final segment of just the battle and then at the last minute I decided to go ahead and beat her in the same segment. I messed up only slightly in the mystic caves because I jumped too soon. I'm glad that I was able to get by it pretty easily. The path back to the library is the worst part of the whole game.

I played it twice to remember exactly how it worked and then the third time it threw a curve ball.

Quite a few times I'd have a perfect run and then I'd suck at all the blades.ħth segment: The iron works seems to be a random puzzle. The next part has so many blades and I was lucky to get past all of them without getting touched. I had to kill all of the enemies before I ran up the wall and jump to the tree because he'd try to attack them if they weren't killed. This part I wanted to do right because the one right after here is horrible. In the official strategy book, "An Impossible Task" is where you have to traverse the cliffs. Throwing them over the edge seems to be the easiest way to get rid of them.Ħth segment: I messed up a little bit on the griffin battle and I had a few other scrapes. The library is terrible the first time around cause there's about ten guys trying to kill you at once. That's his fault for moving like that, not mine. Sorry for the camera movements with the really big guy. You might be able to move the block without fighting anyone, but I really doubt it. Running away from the dahaka is always fun.ĥth segment: The prison can be a nightmare because the guys take a lot more hits to kill than any other guy. Sands of time seemed to always have pretty good angles for traps and puzzles, but not this game. Stupid camera angles.Ĥth segment: She's not too hard and then I messed up when I was trying to swing on a rope. I only messed up when I was trying to get past spikes, but it didn't cost much time. Whenever you want something to happen, it just never does.ģrd segment: The gardens is pretty easy. I stand around for about 45 seconds for him to do that. For some reason it took the big guy a long time to blow up the door. I kept this segment because I was able to do it the first time. About six times I'd do this and fail miserably. About halfway through you have to go up this rotating pillar and then you have to jump to a button and jump back. That probably cost me at least 10 seconds.probably more.Ģnd segment: I hated this one. I did do one major goof-up 3/4 of the way through with trying to get past some spikes. At first I thought each one had a specific activation sequence, but that doesn't seem to be the case.ġst segment: This is the longest segment because it's the start of the game and not hard. The order in which to activate each time portal is random. Unless I kill the two enemies down below he'll jump down to try and hit one of them. About halfway through the gardens I have to climb up a ladder and then jump to another ladder. When I do fight it's because I can't get onto a ladder or some other structure unless the enemies around me are dead. Most of the time it's simply a matter of getting past enemies without fighting. There are the small shortcuts liking jumping onto a ladder from a distance which saves you like 1 second, but nothing major. Overall a person could probably cut about 3-5 minutes from my run, but that'd be about it. When your sword is out you also are forced to face enemies.that made certain situations rather difficult. The bad thing is that you can't put your sword away. The nice thing about warrior within is that enemies don't just pop up on you. I thought that the amount of time it would take to beat this game would be roughly the same as the sands of time, but when the first thing I had completed was 45 minutes and I was barely 1/4 into the game, I knew this wouldn't be the case. Since the whole thing is almost 4 hours it would be hard for me to describe certain things unless you've already played the game. Available in 3 versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high quality. Speed run of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within on easy mode in 7 segments.
